Mathews 19: 10 12

  1. His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.

  2. But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

  3. For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

Mathews 6: 19

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:

Mathews 19: 21 26

  1. Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

  2. But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.

  3. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

  4. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

  5. When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?

  6. But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Mark 10: 21 27

  1. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

  2. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.

  3. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

  4. And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

  5. It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

  6. And they were astonished out of measure, saying among themselves, Who then can be saved?

  7. And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Luke 18: 22 27

  1. Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

  2. And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

  3. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

  4. For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

  5. And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

  6. And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

Mark 6: 8

And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Mathew 5: 38 48

  1. Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

  2. But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

  3. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

  4. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

  5. Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

  6. Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.

  7. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  8. That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

  9. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
    47. And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?

  10. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Luke 6: 27 36

  1. But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

  2. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

  3. And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.

  4. Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

  5. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

  6. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

  7. And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

  8. And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

  9. But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

  10. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Luke 14: 26 27

  1. If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

  2. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
